Private Beta

A clearer path to college hockey.

Backcheck gives hockey families a private, AI-assisted recruiting roadmap — built around the player's age, level, academics, goals, and timeline.

Structured plans. Smarter school targets. Coach outreach that feels personal, not automated.

Built by Noah de la Durantaye, former captain of Princeton men's hockey.

From the Founder

I have been on both sides of the recruiting process.

I am Noah de la Durantaye, former captain of Princeton men's hockey. Before Princeton, I was the player trying to understand where I fit, when to contact coaches, what my highlight reel should show, and which programs were actually realistic.

Most hockey families are forced into one of two bad options: expensive private advisors or generic recruiting platforms that create more noise than clarity.

Backcheck was built to close that gap.

It gives families the structure, context, and honest guidance I wish I had earlier in my own journey — without the pressure, inflated promises, or sales calls.

How it Works

A recruiting process built around the player, not a template.

Backcheck turns scattered questions into a structured, age-specific plan your family can actually follow.

01

Build the player profile

Enter the details that matter: age, position, league, academics, goals, current level, target path, and recruiting timeline.

02

Receive a structured roadmap

Backcheck creates a 12-week recruiting plan, a tiered school list, and coach outreach guidance calibrated to where the player actually stands.

03

Execute, update, and adjust

Each week, your family gets clear next steps. As the season changes, the plan changes with it.

Platform

The recruiting command center for serious hockey families.

Every feature is designed to reduce guesswork: what to do, who to contact, what to send, and how to adjust as the player's path evolves.

Coach Outreach Builder

Personalized coach emails that sound like the player, not a mass recruiting blast.

Highlight Reel Brief

Guidance on what footage to capture, how to structure the reel, and what coaches actually need to see.

"My son is U17 — when should we start emailing D1 coaches?"
D1 coaches can begin contact after January 1 of the player's sophomore year. Outreach before that is permitted from the player's side and often welcomed when timed around showcase events.

Weekly Family Digest

A concise weekly action plan that keeps the player and parents aligned.

Our Why

Hockey families should not have to guess their way through the most important years of the journey.

The cost is real. The travel is real. The pressure is real. And beneath all of it is the question every parent carries quietly:

Is any of this actually moving us closer to the right opportunity?

"Too many families learn the recruiting playbook after the window has already started to close."

Too many players miss chances they earned because no one explained when to reach out, what to send, or how to understand where they truly fit.

Backcheck exists to give families clarity earlier.

No promises. No pressure. No sales pitch. Just a structured, honest path through a process that has been too opaque for too long.

Pricing

Choose the level of guidance your family needs.

Frequently Asked

Questions parents actually ask.

How is Backcheck different from NCSA?
Backcheck is not a profile marketplace and we do not sell families into mass exposure. The platform is built to give each player a structured recruiting plan, realistic school targets, and coach outreach guidance that feels personal. No spam. No sales pressure. No inflated promises.
How is this different from a generic recruiting app?
Backcheck is hockey-specific. It is built around NCAA timelines, junior pathways, prep school considerations, Ivy and D1 context, and the realities of D3 and ACHA recruiting. The goal is not to create another profile. The goal is to give the family a plan.
What ages and levels does Backcheck support?
Backcheck is built for U14 through U20 players pursuing college hockey opportunities across D1, D3, Ivy, ACHA, USports, and prep pathways.
Does Backcheck guarantee recruitment?
No. No credible advisor can guarantee recruitment. Backcheck gives families a clear plan, realistic targets, stronger outreach, and better timing. The player still has to earn the opportunity. We help make sure the opportunity is not missed.
Why does the Captain plan include founder calls?
Some families want a real person involved at key moments. The platform does the heavy lifting, but the Captain plan adds direct founder perspective for families who want a higher-touch experience.
Does Backcheck support women's hockey?
Yes. Backcheck supports women's D1, D3, ACHA-W, USports, and prep recruiting paths, with timeline and pathway guidance adjusted accordingly.
What does early access include?
Early access families receive first invitations to the platform, introductory pricing, and direct beta feedback access as Backcheck expands.
